All childcare is unique in the fact that you are not only seeing a child’s firsts but having a part in them. Newborn care has the extremely unique opportunity of helping the parents and older siblings bond with their newest addition. I am able to come in and give the parents the comfort that their babies will not only be taken care of but nurtured and loved. Giving the parents that extra few hours of sleep can make all the difference in the stress of the first few weeks and reducing their anxiety level.

As a nanny, I try to find families whose needs and little quirks, I fit with. It is an extremely paternal relationship and finding the best fit for both parties is extremely important.
When it came time to leave my first nanny job, the parents thanked me for being a part of their family. They were initially very nervous about having a caregiver and so to hear that they had to come to view me as an integral part of their family, meant the world to me. I continue to sporadically care for the family and it has remained an amazing connection.

I love the challenges which come with figuring out the different needs of each family. I have learned a lot from each family I have worked for and they have helped mold me into the caregiver that I am today.

I love watching the babies start figuring out the world around them; watching them develop habits and seeing that they can affect things.

I am looking foward to getting a CPST certification, Child Passenger Safety Technician. I am looking into sleep training and working with multiples.

I am a huge football fan and I try to go to a game at a new stadium each year. Go Ravens!
