FAQ

WHAT IS A NEWBORN CARE SPECIALIST?

A Newborn Care Specialist is an individual trained and skilled in newborn care. Caregivers are more than just nannies, they know the ins and outs of newborn development and have specialized newborn training. They provide unique expertise in all aspects of newborn care, parental education, and support. Their job is to help nurture and care for newborns while providing guidance and education for the parents. A Newborn Care Specialist’s goal is to reassure new parents and help make the transition enjoyable.

WILL I BE CERTIFIED AFTER TAKING THIS COURSE?

Upon successful completion of the workshop you will receive a certificate of completion. This is not the same as becoming a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. If you would like to persue certification, this course is approved through The Newborn Care Specialist Association.

DO THE ONLINE AND IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS DIFFER?

Both courses cover the exact same information. We use the same PowerPoint presentation and teach the material, so they do not differ. The only difference students will encounter is the convenience of practicing hands-on demos. Online students will have to provide their own demonstration materials if they would like to practice. Some of these materials are available from the NCTA for a small fee.

ARE YOU A PLACEMENT AGENCY?

No, we do not do any placements. We are happy to suggest newborn care agencies that we have a relationship with in your area, but how to obtain jobs after your newborn care course is a topic covered in the first section of the training!

DO YOU HAVE PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! We have a payment plan available for both online and in-person workshops and offer pay as you go online courses.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

The NCTA does not issue any refunds once the workshop is paid for. If you have to miss an in-person workshop for emergency reasons, you may attend a class at a later date, or choose to take the online curriculum.

I DO NOT SEE MY LOCATION IN THE UPCOMING TRAINING, CAN YOU COME TO MY AREA?

Yes! We can set up a training in any area. We have a 6 student minimum to have a class make. Please email us with your location and we can get it on the calendar with one of our trainers.

IS YOUR COURSE APPROVED BY THE NCSA FOR CERTIFICATION?

Yes!
