Why are you passionate about newborn care?
There is nothing greater than leaving a family who felt scared and worried about taking care of their newborn feeling empowered and confident in their parenting and caregiving skills!
What is the greatest compliment you’ve ever received from a client?
The best compliment that I can (and do receive) is that I have done my job by leaving a family feeling confident!
What do you enjoy about working with new families?
Working with a family during this period in their life is such a privilege and honor. I love the education aspect of working with new families.
Let’s talk newborns: what is your favorite part about caring for newborns?
Let’s be honest: Is there anything sweeter than holding a tiny newborn?! There are few things in this world that compare to the joy that rocking a baby just home from the hospital brings!
What is next for you? Are you preparing for a new certification or training event?
I think that staying current in your education and training is one of the most important aspects of our career, so there is always something next for me! I am excited to take the ProDoula Postpartum Doula course this Fall.
What is one fun fact about yourself?
I have always loved babies. When I was little and my parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas, the answer was, “a new baby doll!” I also wanted 27 children -my perspective has changed slightly. 🙂
